Fire door Sets

Australian Standards1851:2005  requires all fire door systems to be tested on a 3 monthly basis. You will find that frequent testing is usually a requirement specified by your insurance company.

Inspection and Testing - Fire door Sets

Having fire doors tested is crucial to ensuring that in the event of a fire they are capable of preventing the spread of smoke and fire within your premises. Fire doors should always remain clear of obstructions and in the case of sliding fire doors, should have the tracks kept dust free and obstacle free.

 Australian Standards1851:2012 . requires all fire door systems to be tested on a 6 monthly basis

Passive fire and smoke systems Where horizontal sliding doors are fitted Require to be inspected and tested on a 3 Monthly Basis

 

The fire door tests consist of, but are not limited to, the following:-

  • Verifying the fire door closes and seals correctly

  • Verifying the door closes in a specified time

  • Identifying automatic magnetic release functions correctly

  • Identify the condition of the fire door

  • Identify the condition of the associated fire door equipment

  • Identify condition of fire rated glazing

 

Our technicians will perform the following services as part of the fire door testing:-

  • Supply a Fire Door Register

  • Provide a report, identifying any failures and corrective actions required including a quotation for repair.

  • Supply and install new Fire Doors
